How Does The Stretch Method® Work?
TSM is a proprietary treatment approach that looks at the body and how it moves differently. Our testing measures the health of the joint, muscle and nervous system. Our treatment approach takes the current health of your neuromuscular system combined with the tools of The Stretch Methodology and builds a program that reconditions the entire system. This comprehensive method is combined with a coaching approach and focuses on education and building awareness around the health and wellness of the neuromuscular system. When your struggling with pain, tightness, or other movement-related concerns and you are looking for long term relief and want to stay away from surgery. The Stretch Methodology is the most comprehensive program available today.
The focus is on proactive care, helping clients move optimally and maintain their results, setting
it apart from traditional rehab-focused approaches.
What is the certification process for becoming a Stretch Mobility Coach®?
The certification process includes:
1. Level 1 Fundamentals Course: A three-day, in-person course covering the basics of The Stretch Method®. After completing this, you’ll enter active mentorship.
2. Mentorship: Ongoing mentorship supports your growth as you apply what you’ve learned.
3. Level 2 Onsite Course: Another three-day, in-person course focused on advanced flexibility and longevity fundamentals.
4. Case Reports: Submit case reports tracking outcomes for all new clients, and complete 180 sessions to qualify for the practical exam.
5. Practical Exam: A three-day exam including consultations, written, and oral sections. Upon passing, you’ll earn your Certified Stretch Mobility Coach® pin and status, allowing
you to work independently.
How does the Stretch Mobility Coach® role fit into PTA state regulations?
As a Stretch Mobility Coach®, it’s your responsibility to ensure you’re aligning with and following all state board and state practice acts. The Stretch Method® and the Stretch Mobility Coach® role are focused on longevity and operate in an entirely different scope of practice from physical therapy. This means that while PTAs must adhere to PTA standards set by their state boards, Stretch Mobility Coaches® practice under the guidelines of The Stretch Method®. It’s crucial to understand these are separate scopes of practice, ensuring compliance and delivering care within legal boundaries.
